Terms of Service

1. About the service

FotBrain is a collection of daily football quizzes (Wordle-style, Tenable-style top-10 lists, career guessing, Guess the Transfer (transfer-fee guessing)), operated by Jørgen Sigvartsen. The service is currently completely free and doesn't require an account to play.

2. Account

You can play anonymously, or create an account (Google or email) to save your streak and play history across devices. You're responsible for keeping your login secure. We may suspend or delete accounts that abuse the service (see section 3).

3. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Attempt to automate guessing your way to today's answer (e.g. scripting repeated requests) - we enforce rate limits on the guessing endpoints for exactly this reason.
  • Exploit bugs in the game logic to falsify results, streaks, or rarity scores.
  • Scrape or copy our content at scale.
  • Use the service for anything illegal, or in a way that disrupts other players' use of it.

Violations may result in your account being suspended, temporarily or permanently.

4. Content and intellectual property

Questions, top-10 lists and other quiz content are curated by us and belong to FotBrain. The football data we build on is sourced from third-party sources (including API-Football) and is manually fact-checked before publishing - however, we don't guarantee that every single piece of information is error-free, and we correct mistakes as soon as we become aware of them.

5. No payment yet

The service is currently completely free, with no ads or in-app purchases. If this changes in the future, we'll update these terms well in advance and make the change clear in the app first.

6. Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of constant uptime. We may change, add, or remove game modes and features over time - daily challenges may in rare cases be corrected afterward if a factual error is discovered.

7. Limitation of liability

FotBrain is provided without warranties beyond what is required by mandatory law. We are not liable for indirect losses related to use of the service.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law.
